Tin-mo- Stansfield Superintendent discussed several items with the Boird relating to the new high schools at Payson and Sprmgville. On a motion by Glenn W. Coffman, seconded by Dr. William II. Sorensen, the Board approved a change order, covering both schools, for 3 electrical outlets to tie installed in the Homemaking Departments. Total cost: $35.00 C.O. , Hamilton Brothers Electric Company. Motion unanimous. The Superintendent reported that he had rceived a letter from Dell S. Ashworth of Ashworth Architects covering a progress report on additional items needing completion at the Springville High School and that as soon as Ashworths receive lien waivers from the general contractor they will make additional inspections and recommend to the Board a substantial completion payment. The Superintendent reported that check lists had been received by the District Office from Ashworths covering items needing completion in both high schools and that all contractors were moving toward final completion dates for both schools. He further reported that an inspection of the mechanical work in both schools would take place Tues. afternoon, Dec. 6th, at 2:00 p.m. at Springville High School. The Superintendent reported to the Board on the damage to plants and animals in the Biological Department at the SpSchool from High ringville overheating. He stated that the source of trouble was apparently the disconnect switch the compressor motor on the heat control system. The Superintendent said that the pro-ecti- ng contractor had been instructed to get new heaters on the switch immdeiately. School personnel are assessing the damage and financial value and the contractor has been asked to notify his insurance company that the Board expects coverage on the loss. Stansfield Superintendent stated that he had discussed the lowering of the water pipe in front of the Springville High School with Mayor Calvin PackFrank ard and Councilman that of and Springville Memory the City would bill Nebo District for approximately one-hof the cost with the City of Springville assuming the other half. Superintendent Stansfield invited the Board to the Utah Svniphonv Concert being sponsored by the Nebo District for the three high schools. He reported that Tintic High School students had also been invited. The concert will take place on December 1st at the Spanish Fork High School Gymnasium. On a motion by Dr. William H. Sorensen, seconded by Glen W. Coffman, the Board confirmed the suspension of Mr. Wendel.
