Show Dale Barnett named president of Archaeological group ! 4 department, BYU, was guest speaker at the election meeting. He showed slides of the Montazuma Canyon and Cortez, Mexico. Rowley of Payson announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Nedra, to Mr. Rodney Blaine Grover, son of Mrs. Dorothy Patterson of Leawood, Kansas and Mr. Blaine Grover of Dubois, Idaho. Miss Rowley is a graduate of Payson High School and LDS Seminary. She is a sophomore student at Brigham Young University. He has served in the Texas LDS Mission. Hospital Employees hold Holiday Party Payson City Hospital employand their partners gathered Friday evening at Oakcrestlnn, where they held their annual holiday party. A smorgasbord supper was served to 56, after which a program was presented with toast given by Melba Geslison and Lois Roper and a reading by Ruth Walton. Dancing concluded the evening. Connie Bowen, Jerry Harris repeat marriage vows in Manti Temple Mr. and Mrs. Newlyweds, Jerry Allen Harris, were honored at a reception Nov. 17 at Payson First-Fift- h Ward church, and departed afterward for California, where they will reside while Mr. Harris is sta- tioned at Alameda Naval Base. The bride, former Connie Joan Bowen, is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert William Bowen, Payson. She was an attendant to the Harvest Queen in Payson in 1965. Recently, she was graduated from Hollywood Beauty College in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Phipps, Payson, are parents of the bridegroom, and were hosts at a wedding breakfast at their home after the bridal couple spoke nuptial vows Nov. 9 at the Manti LDS temple. Satin streamers led to white pillars topped with flowers at either side of the frame. Wedding guests of special importance were grandparents of the couple, Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Bowen, Payson; Mrs. Vivian Roper, Santaquin, and Mrs. B. Anderson of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. David L. Roper, Salt Lake City; and Mr. and Mrs. Don B. Bowen of Ogden were foyer receptionists. Attending the guest book were Mauveen Pitts and Mrs. Gary Bowen. Guests were served at small tables centered with crystal goblets containing blue water with floating white carnations. Staheli, Payson, announce the marriage of their daughter, Sue Staheli, to Karl F. Eggertsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Eggertsen, Calif. Autumn nuptials were performed Sept. 10 in Reno, Nev., and the couple was honored later at an openhouse given by the bridegrooms parents in Calif. The former Miss Staheli attended local school and University of Utah, where she was affiliated with Delta Delta Delta sorority. She was awarded her degree in elementary education last spring and is now teaching Fourth Grade in Almo, Calif. Mr. Eggertsen attended Brigham Young University before entering the Navy and is now serving aboard an aircraft carrier, the USS Benninton, off the coast of Viet Nam. Harold Harmer, business manager, Payson City Hospital; and Lawrence Ewell, city councilman, explained the coming bond issue facing Payson residents at the present time.
