Mrs. Mayer came to Uifi from Mexico in 1303 aini has lived in Payson most of the time since then. She was active in the church auxtlurws aoi was a Relief Society usitrg teacher for over JC years. Burial was in Payson City Cemetery under direction of Rigby Mortuary. JOAN LAIRD KING Joan Laird King, 84, died June 21, at the Eldred Hospital in Provo of causes incident to age. She was born Aug. 9, 1881, a t Park City, a daughter of Daivd and Elisabeth Gardner Laird. She married Hyrum Samuel King on Aug. 2, 1899, in Provo and the marriage was CLARENCE A. HOLM on Oct. 27, (Frances) Hathaway, Dean Holm, Provo; Pay-so- n; 24 greatggrandchildren; one randchild; two brothers and five sisters, Wilford Holm, Spanish Fork; Dr. Henry Carlson, Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Jessie Holm, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Emma Pilgrim Calif.; Mrs. Willis (Larene) James, Edgemont; Mrs. George (Martha) Hansen, Orem; Mrs. Charles (Josephine) Barney, Provo. Funeral services were conducted Friday in the Spanish Ward ChaFork Fourth-Sevent- h pel. Interment was in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. Stockton, Lake Temple. Mr. King died Dec. 6, 1938. An active member of the LDS Church, she had served as a Relief Society teacher. Rausch, Mine Superintendent, Tintic Division, Kennecott Copper Corporation, has announced the appointment of Blaine L. Wiseman as Geologist at Kennecott Coppers Burgin Mine. The mine is a part of were started earlier in the season. One of the larger conservation practices that has recently been completed is the concrete canal lining being placed by the Westfields Irrigation Co. of Spanish Fork in their irrigation system. He was born March 18, 1902 m Palmyra, a son of Andrew and Josephine Olsen Holm. He received his education in the Palmyra and Spanish Fork schools. He married Edna M.
