Butler on Wednesday. Mrs. Sadie Peery, Miss Lenora Huish, and Mrs. M arie Cowan from Nephi were in Provo on Wednesday. They enjoyed dinner at a local cafe. Mrs. R. N. Moore and Mrs. Ivon Butler were in Provo on M onday. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Paglia from Chicago, 111., and his aunts, Mrs. June Overmyer, M ontgomery, I1L, M rs. Blanche Cramer, Chicago, and Mrs. Cora King, Provo, visited at the home of Mr. and M rs. J. Everett Nelson Friday afternoon. They were visiting with relatives, having been called here by the Mrs. death of their Tressa Lyman. A boy is coming to Provo to help finish building a school hell never see. Former resident George Thomas, and his wife, Lila, who are residing in Australia, are rejoicing over the birth of a baby daughter, their first child, born August 20. Duane Van Ausdal, formerly of Santaquin and a son of Mr. and Mrs, Nick Van Ausdal was recently appointed director of Vocational Education in the Iron County School District, a new position for the district. He was a former teacher of industrial arts at Parowan High SchooL Mr. Van Ausdal is a graduate of Santaquin and Payson schools and received a B. S. degree from Utah State University in 1949 and began his teaching career in Parowan. He was awarded his M asters Degree in 1958 from the same institution.
