Anderson, Planning Conservationist and Clyde T. Lowe, Work Unit Conservationist with the Soil Conservation Service at Payson have been over some of the range land which is under cooperative agreement with the SCD. As a general rule the range land looks pretty good this fall. Ted Johnson of Spanish Fork, has some range land that is better this fall than it has been for several years. His reseeded areas of Intermediate Wheat-gras- s, Smooth Brome and alfalfa are helping materially to take the grazing pressure off the spring range. His Diamond Fork Ranch is increasing in forage production through good management and seeding of pastures. Myron Childs has some good reseeded areas on Billys, mountain. The seedings of Smooth Brome and alfalfa, Intermediate Wheatgrass are doing very well. His Strawberry Range is doing very well and looks good this fall. Myron is one of the top Ranchers in the Nebo SCD. N. W. Hansen, of Benjamin, is planning the development of his spring-fal- l range in the Thistle area. The potential production of his range is very o good" Bernard Lasson of Birdseye planted about 70 acres of Intermediate Wheatgrass last winter. Anderson, Lowe and Lasson checked the stands last week and found them very good. A lot of the growth has headed out. This should be an outstanding pasture in an other year or two. He plans to plant another 30 acres this fall, late enough so the seed doesnt sprout this fall, about November 15.
