A short time later, another prominent man of Payson, Dr. A. L. Curtis, also advocated the seminary cause and said he would donate $500 to it. . They also said the matter would have to come before the Presidency of the Church. This was done. Then the stake presidency put it up to the stake and the members were in favor of the Seminary. The building was to he built by the stake, in which the seminary classes were to be held, and they were also to maintain it. The church would then pay the teachers salary. The teacher who is now Mr. John F. Oleson. The building was started in September and completed in The classes up to that time were held in the basement of Streets residence, just across the road from the Payson high school. This was a big factor in putting over the Seminary this year. The seminary classes are held in connection with the high school. The enrollment of the first classes are 125. Up to this time the classes have been a great success and we hope they always will he. We the students of the Nebo Stake Seminary do appreciate the efforts of the Stake Presidency-am- i the members of the stake in putting over the Seminary this year.
