Show ronald richards dies Is buried wednesday impressive funeral services were held wednesday afternoon in the west ward chapel for ronald richards 14 year old son of david H richards of parowan carowan Pa rowan who died early monday morning in the iron county hospital from brain fever caused by a sinus infection death came rather suddenly the child hav ing been ill only about three days prior to his passing he had the flu some three weeks ago but was apparently recovering with the exception of a gathering gath erins in his head during friday night he awoke and complained of a head bead ache and his father gave him some mede medeline cine and he slept again later he again called his father and complained of his head hurting and was again given medicine after this mr richards left for the field to turn his irrigation water during his absence the other children heard ronald rolling and to tossing in bilat bed and upon going in to see what was wrong they found him in convulsions mrs william marsden an aunt was called but by the time she arrived mr richards was horn born the doctor was summoned and the child rushed to the hospital hos pitol where the end came early monday morning funeral services were conducted by bishop T e wendell bayles and commenced with the choirs of both wards under the direction of ormon R weight and accompanied by lyle marsden singing sometime well understand marlo mario offered the opening prayer after which mary 0 sang a solo one fleeting hour accompanied by sias aas on the violin and mrs milton hyatt on the piano speakers were silas J ward A Y st kimball thomas K Holyoak n nd d ishop bishop W L adams who also a G so 11 read three ahree tributes contributed by the decease ds classmates and friends closing remarks were made by bishop bayles other musical num bers lers included a violin solo brahms lullaby by ormon R weight with lylo lyle marsden mareden at the piano a choral number by a group of ronalds associates socia tes in tile the west ward boy scout troop and the deacons quorum the closing song nearer my god to thee was sung by the choir the benediction was offered by joseph holyoak and at the cemetery the grave was dedicated by wilford day ronald was born in parowan carowan on june 9 1926 a son of david H and dean marsden richards and has liv ed here since his birth his mother preceded him in death by almost a year passing away on june 13 1940 1940 A at t the time of his death ronald was a freshman student at the par owan high school where he iya was active in class and school affairs he was a member of the high orchestra and was a student of the local seminary ile he was a member of the west ward boy scout troop and of the deacons quorum in both of which he took an active part he is survived by his father david H richards five brothers karl of cedar city arden clair reed ased and lucius dean richards and his grandmother mrs mary M marsden all of parowan carowan Pa rowan |
