Show prominent cedar city farmer dies suddenly wallace hunter lunt 49 prominent cedar city farmer and sheep breeder died unexpectedly last saturday morning april 27 in the operating room of the iron county hospital where he was undergoing a thyroid operation the deceased was born in cedar city on july 14 1891 a son of the late henry W und and rose hunter lunt and has eyed in that oily ci y aall alibis his life he was married to W win in aifred leigh in the salt lake temple tempie on novembre Novem bf 1918 1916 mr lunt was wai one of southern outstanding purebred sheep breeders bleeders bre eders having spent several years in breeding and improving rambouillet sheep he was a lifelong life long worker in the L D S church having held numerous positions of leadership in his ward and in organizations of the parowan carowan stake at the time of his death he was senior president of the sixty third quorum of seventy of the Paro carowan parowan wail stake he is survived by his wife mother two sons and a daughter lee and douglass lunt of cedar city and helen lunt student at the 13 Y U and nine brothers and sisters henry H raymond H and willard lunt of cedar city george 11 lunt mrs elmer T ashton and mrs J T harrington of salt lake city anthony H lunt of lincoln nebraska mrs J M pond of portland oregon and mrs gerald smith of arlington virginia funeral services were held in the cedar first ward chapel tuesday afternoon with bishop george W grimshaw presiding speakers were arthur jones frank B wood dr J W bergstrom of cedar city and wilford day of parowan carowan Pa rowan with concluding remarks by bishop grimshaw the opening and closing songs were given by a ladies double trio composed of annette betenson ann gardner mamie gardner elda manning mariam luke and maude halverson with bernella jones accompanying other musical numbers were a solo by myles walker a violin duet by elma corry and roy L halverson the opening prayer was offered by samuel F leigh the closing ope one by bryan J petty and the grave was dedicated by E M corry |
