Show former carowan parowan resident dies in cedar city mrs rachel evans mcconnell 73 wife of thomas F mcconnell of cedar city died on wednesday mom morning of last week at her home there following a paralytic stroke suffered 36 hours before she had been in poor health for many years and quite seriously ill recently she was up and about the house when stricken on tuesday she was born bom in parowan carowan on october 14 1871 a daughter of thomas A and phoebe pendleton evans early pioneers to this community she spent her early life here or until she married mr mcconnell on october 25 1892 when she moved to cedar city where she has resided since she Is survived by her husband and the following sons and daughters mrs wanda kaze and mrs madge adams of cedar city mrs phoebe da day of draper claude mcconnell of portland oregon and mrs hilda thompson of milford she is also survived by twenty two grand children and the following brothers and sisters mrs sadie bayles mrs donna matheson and mr john C evans of this city mrs dora rollins who has been living in salt lake city this winter mrs ella corbridge of lyman wyoming and mr T S evans of milford utah funeral services were held in the cedar first ward chapel at on monday afternoon with the following members of the family from here in attendance mrs bayles mr and mrs ross guymon mr and mrs evan bayles golden bayles mr and mrs john C evans mrs donna matheson carmen rollins evan rollins and daughter catherine mr and mrs mel eyre mr and mrs woodrow watson and mae guymon reeves dora rollins and mrs venice moore were down from sa salt it lake city and mr me and mrs T wendell bayles were up from st george mrs corbridge was down from wyoming and thos evans was there from milford accompanied by a daughter wanda corbridge of minersville Miners ville mr and mrs duard evans was also there from milford and lois corbridge and itha dalley dailey of summit |
