Donate ski equipment Timberhaus Ski Shops are participating in Subaru Deduct-A-Ski from Oct. 1 to 31, 1983. Bring in your used ski clothing and equipment to Timberhaus and receive credit for a tax-deductible tax-deductible contribution. All clothing and equipment collected during Subaru Deduct-A-Ski will be accepted by the Ski Industries America Ski Educational Foundation, a charitable organization. All donated merchandise will then be given to worthy groups, such as the Special Olympics. Subaru, an American company, is the official car of the U.S. Ski Team and the U.S. Ski Association. Ski Industries America is the national trade association for the suppliers of consumer ski products. (1027) Bartender's Cup tennis Applications now are available for the Fifth Annual Miller High-Life Bartender's Cup Tennis Tournament, scheduled for Nov. 5-13 at the Park Meadows Racquet Club. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the 1984 Utah Winter Special Olympics. Sponsor donation: $50 per team, plus $10 per individual. Entry deadline is Oct. 31. (1027) Family planning The Park City Community Clinic is a non-profit family planning and reproductive health program. Appointments are available for morning, afternoon and evening. Examinations are performed by a nurse practitioner. Services Ser-vices offered include: physical exam, pap tests, counseling and education, VD screening, pregnancy testing and contraceptive con-traceptive supplies. (1020) 'Mad Monster Party' A children's Halloween movie, "The Mad Monster Party," will be shown at the Park City Library on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. The animated movie is suggested for first through sixth grade children. In conjunction with the Recreation Department, the movie will also be shown Saturday, Oct. 29 at noon in the Memorial Building. (1027) Home energy assistance Applications for the Home Energy Assistance Target (H.E.A.T.) program will be taken at the Park City Senior Citizens' Center, 1361 Norfolk Ave., at 3 p.m. Oct. 17 and 3 p.m., Oct. 27. The H.E.A.T. program is available to handicapped han-dicapped persons and senior citizens. Emergency medical training The Park City Emergency Center has been approved by the Utah State Emergency Medical Services to provide an EMT-1 course for Summit and Wasatch Counties. The course begins Nov. 1 and will be held in Park City's municipal building on Marsac Avenue. Class size will be held to 20 students. All first responders-fire, police, ski patrol, etc.-should register as soon as possible. The tentative six-week six-week schedule includes two week nights (Wednesdays and Fridays) as well as Saturdays. Tuition is $100 plus materials and final exam costs. Four emergency physicians and an obstetriciangynecologist will provide the training along with the EMT instructors and course coordinator Terry Davis (Kamas ambulance).
