According to highway patrol trooper Allen Palmer, the camper, a Pace Arrow motor home, was leaving Interstate 80 and attempting to cross highway 224 to enter the Standard gas station. The driver reportedly saw a jeep behind Watts, who was travelling south to enter the interstate, but failed to see the Toyota. Damage to the camper was set at $1000. The Record could find no evidence that the accident was planned by an angry developer. lost cycle syndrome Police report a 1976 Yamaha motorcycle was stolen early last Wednesday from in front of the Prospector Hotel. The $1200 cycle was noticed missing only 15 minutes after it had been parked, but the thieves eluded a police search. The motorcycle was found the following night in the parking lot of Park City High School with only four additional miles registered on the odometer. assault and robbery A complaint was filed last week by a Park City woman charging a Park City man with assault and theft of personal belongings and $80 in cash. The man was arrested and released on $200 bond, pending a hearing this week. $500 tool caper Nearly $500 worth of tools was reported missing Monday from a Deer Valley home under construction, police report. The theft took place sometime between April 12 and 13. Missing are a $300 Rockwell power mitre box, a $125 Black and Decker belt sander, a $25 Sands four foot level and two carpenter's hammers. The tools were reportedly stored in an unlocked addition under construction. musical thieves A $325 guitar and case was stolen from a car parked in the TMI garage last Tuesday. darting dodges & maverick fords A 1970 Ford Maverick sustained $350 damage last Thursday in a collision with a 1974 Dodge Dart on lower Park Avenue near the First Security Bank. Police report the Dodge, heading north, failed, to indicate a right turn into the bank parking lot and the Maverick which was directly behind, tried to sneak past on the right to enter the same lot. The Dart failed to dodge and the Maverick Ford banked the first car, losing his security. |
