world tor for a woman to talk but silence is some times more agreeable than a speech as when the man said to the bird trainer 1 I gave you fitly fifty dollars to make this bird talk what will you take to make biake it shut up and then there are times when silence is more restful than speech as when the lady asked the doctor lor for some medicine he said madam all you ou need Is rest oh she said look at my tongue that needs rest too he said but who could keep silent when there is such a subject as this presented and I 1 a am ni asked to pay tribute to the new member of 0 fall the necessary evils the new member is perhaps the most necessary to any organization as the old members move away their places must be filled hence the necessity of the new member I 1 fe feel el sure the new member feels as I 1 do that as imitation Is the sin sincerest ceresi flattery we will endeavor to imitate the old members loyalty and zeal as far as possible we know also that the degree of our success is directly dependent upon the degree in which individual members operate cooperate co in the working out of the club plans to one woman however capable she may be cannot make a club what it should be our proper strength can come only from a wholehearted whole hearted union n 0 of our forces and the new member I 1 am sure will do her part now madam president and ladies I 1 have not memorized this
