the term tenn of three years took place there was but little interest manifested and but one candidate in the race robert T kimball who has been serving on the school board since the resign resignation altion of mr fr 0 C lockhart there were votes east cast and mr kimball got them all the judges of election were R W macdonald R T kimball and julius juliu frunkel Fraai kel acting for F J mclaughlin who is in the elie east the tee citizens meeting held at the washington school at 8 monday evening for the purpose of hearing the report of the trustees read and to pass on the purchase of certain ground desired by the trustees was not largely attended only thirteen be ting present outside of the judges of election named above that our readers might know who the twelve interested ports president mcdonald stated that it wm wata the desire of the trustees to purchase three lots opposite the lincoln building and to erect thereon a building for the purpose of removing the heating plant from the lincoln building proper to the new building thereby reducing the danger of fire and accident and giving 1 more school room upon inquiry from judge shields as to the cost of the proposed improvement it was leair ned that would cover the expense the ground desired has long ago been sold for taxes title of which having I 1 passed to su summit mini it county and on motion of mr air shields the trustees were empowered to purchase some for purposes named same compensation the compensation of trus trustees t ees for the past year camel up for discussion judge shields favored ed the wary salary being increased per man over that of previous years this did not meet the approval of those present p resent in fact was objected to by the trustees present and on motion of jim don the salla salary ry was fixed as usual for two members of the board and for the he clerk meeting then adjourned |
