Show e 9 I 1 1 1 1 mm MINES AND all 0 I 1 az 1 1 u I 1 N b 4 a i 5 yrya kisr ia I 1 looks good at king con report has it that thai an important strike has been made at the silver king consolidated Cosoli dated some sixteen care of 0 high grads grade ore have been raised the last three days dais and from all accounts the find is a most important one the ore was uncovered in a drift in the andes workings manager spiro came up this morning and Is quite enthusiastic over the outlook the record hopes the new strike will prove a big bonanza there are eighteen men working at the old california property and conditions are reported to be most promising getting impatient tle following communication was reci ived this week and we publish it tor for the benefit of our readers and to ta it la tho lu SU sti hi ot of the tha daly know the sentiment of some ot of the large owners tho the record desires to inform mr J A belser and his associates that it has no occasion to get after the operators it knows knovs oi 0 no crooked manipulations 0 false statements Oate ments made by them it if it did dd it would not hesitate to expose them regarding the letter of mr harry josephs the record doubts doubis not its authenticity and it only proves that the west is a big P properly pro perl and its stock a good thing to hang on oil to tile the record la is quite sure there is nothing to expose and it if general manager ernest bam bergers er gera opinion was waa sought by the Cincinnat ians an explanation would b be given satisfactory to the invest investors om if cannot be denied that mining stocks lave have depreciated awfully the past year not because ot of the physical condition of the various properties lei but because of the markell and the general trend of this the investor to agnor mining and mining stocks the record believes that conditions in this regard are changing and the near future will see an impetus given the aiming industry that will justify the managements of the big properties of park city as of other places to inaugurate developments that will in I 1 crease shipments and send the prices of legitimate mining stocks soaring even higher than in the pal days this condition is earnestly hoped for by all interested in the production of precious metals the complaining letter cincinnati 0 jan 4 editor park record park city utah dear sir there are many aln who get your paper and read ead it every week your recent aln ing ng reports are surely flattering buta but for or thusa wilt who are ale heavily interested in mines at park city who inho are interested te in all the leading ones and who have laid big prices for their stock they dont see anything of comfort for them fortunes have been spent by cincinnati people in park city mines and they get no returns for or their money this will birely lor oj i ou cu should get alter after the Opta lols khelu bieu you set any manip j or false statements I 1 send you yon a letter which 11 harry arry josephi jose phi plis sent here about the daly west mine some of 0 his friends to whom he addressed this letter paid a share tor for their stock it if his statement was true at that time about one year ago tell us what has happened the stock today is woith a share and we know here and heard elsewhere it Is ia only due to a manipulation of the Dam Damberg bergers to dispose of the mine and load it down with other propel ties it if the tha investors is not given gian beter be ter protection money will buy surd 1 stop flowing into park city for lu tin ther developments the sooner the investor is protected the bettel i HUM here la is something tor for you I 1 lo 10 0 look it up and expose it ou win will A jiu that that will do goad let the people kulow know the truth ins j kli kit u i ing them kept in the dark all the time this statement josephe Josep be letter was made to us and ne ae belt beli i it true at the election two y i ago we told that there was no consolidation thought of cut bu t thal thai was not true we are again adamel e it a any ny consolidation as we have a good mine it run tor for the interests of the stock holfels hol bolac dels is hoping you will note jo e il s letter carefully see where the faull liesa and give the investors iview of it I 1 anti very truly yours julius A balsera telford ave clifton cincinnati 0 harry josephs letter regarding daly west during my recent visit to bark uty aj also availed myself of the opportunity 1 of inspecting the 1700 foot level of the daly west this level as you are azarel has only recently pen een opened up in fact at the 1900 foot coot level they are driving for the same vein that is now open on the 1700 toot foot level they are driving tor for the same saffie vein that is now open on the 1700 foot level the 2100 foot level will later on oil be opened up in a similar manner As stated i I 1 inspected the 1700 ft level and there I 1 found it developed for a distance of 1200 feet in length and feet in helgath up to the 1500 toot foot level the ore within the walls of the vein will nill average bet ter er than 10 feets and as there is no doubt that the vein will extend lo do inward to the IDOO and 2100 toot foot levels I 1 I 1 will conservatively only cal calate on buo feet in abe re sat salt of 0 my estimate shows a conage to tons of 0 a good grade rada milling jiuing ore which when concel grated will require four to one tho the grade and class ot of the ore is in sulphide pl atile carrying about lu iti per cent lead and 10 oz silver thus making an ideal orein making my calculation on a conservative basis I 1 figure that the vein being 1200 feest long feet high and 10 feet wide that sance same will yield ton ot of crude milling illin ore or ton concentrates con estrates ea and after deducting mining milling and smelting smelling sm elting charges I 1 figure that the faly west will be ab able I 1 e to net between 18 and 20 perk per ton on its concentration cent ration taking into consideration all mhd tremendous conage that can be easily mined the property will nill be able to earn large dividends for years to come in fact the condition as I 1 found them appeal me ry I 1 found them appeal to me very strongly tor for it is another proof that park city after all is a wonderful wonder tul camp and can certainly be more relied upon than a great many of the properties in other localities I 1 must further state that the work accomplished in the low levels ot of the dily west vest within a short space of time proves to me conclusively that iha it man in charge of the actual operation at the mine mi neMr AIrE E L talbot is a man of extraordinary ability his manner of opening up this thia os ois ore chute and the prosecution of the dev elopement work in such a way that h he e will be able to produce this big conage of ore at a very low cost makes a tremendous saving in the extraction of ore optimistic words says the mining investor of denver colo of january ath the outlook for park city during the year 1911 is more favorable than has been the case for sometime past the lead ing mines of the camp are rapidly getting in shape for a greatly increased production deep working connections have been and are being made of the big mining companies have lined va up iii in thi the cause of 11 one common interest new equipment has been installed in a number of instances and the ore bodies unc uncovered over during the past few months wi will insure a heavy output for s several veral years to come one very important transaction connected with the mining industry of the park was the recent purchase of the treasurer hill group of twenty seven claims by the silver king coalition company this group adjoins the vast domain of the coalition and is looked upon as being very valuable ground according to all reports the leasers leaders on the ontario and on the daly west are doing well quoting from a prominent park city operator the ontario will be an important producer tor for many years yet the little bell la Is also making a fine showing so is ia the american flag and as tor for the daly judge it la is bigger and better than ever before have bakery over the leasers leaders the first of the week fred T williams the well known mining engineer of the daly west took over the leasers leaders ot of the company on his big own account 1 he offered the company inducements in the way of development develon bent and loyalties that it favorably considered his proposition and hereafter tile the whole upper por tion lion of 0 the mine that have been subject to lease will be under his tiraco d and supervision ei 10 will M employ a large num her br of men and will thinly make big money tor for the daly west and it is sincerely hoped that he will acquire riches tor for himself through the new deal which he surely will it if hard work close application and knowledge of mining counts tor for anything |
