KATHLEEN NORRIS NOVEL SEEN IN FILM In Walter Wanger's "The Trail of the Lonesome Pine," which plays Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, the producers have taken an Immortal story, beloved by two generations; selected a superb cast, headed by Sylvia Sidney, Fred Mac-Murray Mac-Murray and Henry Ftonda; and have added the magic of outdoor Technicolor photography, which Is so natural, so lifelike and so perfect that one loses the sense of being in a theatre, but is constantly con-stantly convinced that the action is really taking place before his eyes! The color In "The Trail of the Lonesome Lone-some Pine" is ust about as fine as It could possibly be. Every slight shade of distinction In the tones of the trees and clouds and gloriously beautiful mountain moun-tain backgrounds is sharply and naturally natur-ally defined. The actors and actresses pulse with warm, glowing life, and at all times live and breathe, instead of being merely pictures on the screen. Running through "The Trail of the Lonesome Pine" is the tender romance between MacMurray and Sylvia Sidney, the primitive, passionate daughter of the hills.
