Show Lehmer -Passes Suddenly Ray Lehmer, well known Park City resident and community activist died suddenly sud-denly March 22 of an internal hemorrhage in a Salt Lake hospital. Ray Lemher was well liked in many Park City circles and known for his fine sense of humor. An avid outdoorsman and enthusiastic fisherman, Lehmer could often be seen patiently angling along Kimball Creek when he took time away from work at his White Pine Canyon Ranch. Lehmer was actively involv ed in Park City politics and was a hard campaigner for a variety of local causes. He was a strong backer of his wife, Mary Lehmer's campaigns cam-paigns for Mayor and City Council. A tremendous heckler, Ray Lehmer could badger the City Council to levels of near intolerability over issues on which he held a firm opinion. Born February 13, 1921, in Salt Lake City, to Charles and Viola Ray Lehmer. Married Mary J. Condas, May 26, 1946, in Reno, Nevada. Graduated from West High and Univ. of Utah, B.S. degree in Psychology. Psycho-logy. Formerly employed by So. Pacific Railroad, Alturas, Calif., and Kennecott Copper Cop-per Co. Retired in 1962. Member, Park City B.P.O.E. Survivors: wife, Mary Lehmer, Leh-mer, son, John Lehmer, and daughter, Mrs. Nick (Susi) Kontgis, mother, Viola Lehmer Leh-mer and sister, Irene Airth, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother, Paul Lehmer, San Bernadino, Calif. Friends are invited to attend Memorial Services Saturday, March 27, 1982, at 2 p.m. at the First Unitarian Church, 569 So. 1300 East. Family will receive friends and relatives at 294 Federal Heights Circle (turn right on Virginia St. just past 4th Ave.) following services. Family suggests donations to Shriners Hospital or St. Joseph Villa of Salt Lake City, Utah. |
