Show Former Parkite Is Dead at 52 Word has been received of ttie death of a former Parkite, William S. Button, 52, who died of a heartattack in Torrance, California, and was buried Saturday, Sat-urday, August 12 in Redondo Beach, California. Born in Eureka, Utah, he came to Park City about 1938. Mr. Button was well known as a pitcher for The Cozy Softball Soft-ball Team here and for a while worked in the New Park Mine. He married Ella Stanley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Stanley, in Park City and they had three children who are now all married; two daughters Susan and Cherry, and one son Stanley. Mr. Button served as Exalted Ruler of the Park City Elks in 1952 and moved away in about 1958. He was a welcome visitor here just last month during the 4th of July celebration. |
