E avenue had lived through colorful eras flU in n the tho history of Utah California and Alaska Mrs Osborne the former Margaret Margartt Hoffman loffman was born In Mo In n 1856 daughter of ot Hoffman who when she was 0 years old moved mo his bis family to Southern California and became proprietor of land now Included within the confines of or East Los Loa Angelos An- An gelos Hoffman Hofman also allO was as part owner of or ortho tho the now famous Chino rancho In 1876 1878 the family moved to Sandy Utah where Mrs Osborne received the first public school teachers teacher's certificate Issued In that community She met lust Isaac L. L Osborne later In W West wt et Jordan Utah and they were married mamed In 1881 at the Cliff Clift house hou an historical hostelry In n Salt Lake City At the time the mining camp of Park City In northeastern Utah was boom boom- boomIng booming Ing and the Osbornes s moved there and engaged successfully In the sash and door and furniture business When fire lire destroyed the tho camp In n 1898 the family Joined the others heading heeding for the newly opened Alaska gold fields at the time and remained In n the north until 1909 1009 Returning to the thc states they lived at Bremerton until 1911 when they moved to Central Oregon Mr Osborne died at Redmond In 1924 Since that time Mrs Osborne had liv Uv- lived lived ed In Portland with her son Raymond Mrs Osbornes Osborne's sister slater Mrs Bert White of Englewood California also survive I Funeral services were held on August at the Bruning Mortuary chapel chap Portland with Rev O.
