Show Symphony to celebrate nation's birthday The Utah Symphony will perform in the mountain setting of Sundance Resort in Provo Canyon on July 6 at 3 p.m. as part of the resort's Independence Day celebration. One of the most popular concerts " in' last year's symphony summer" series, the concert at Sundance Resort also provides one of the most beautiful and intimate outdoor locations. The concert will be conducted by Charles Ketcham. Eugene Wata-nabe Wata-nabe will be soloist on piano and violin. The program will include Beethoven's Beetho-ven's "Egmont Overture," Mozart's "Piano Concerto No. 21," the "Roman Carnival Overture" by, Berlioz, Bernstein's "Candide Over ture," "Sonata for Piano and Violin" by Mozart and Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture," complete with cannon blasts provided by the Wasatch Mountainmen. In addition to the Sundance concert, the symphony will perform all-Beethoven concerts at Symphony Hall on July 5 at 8 p.m. and at Snowbird resort on July 7 at 4 p.m. The conductor will be Charles Ketcham.
