It's soft on the pocketbook Can be fixed with ease And when it's served It's sure to please. It can be a real boon To the gal who wishes She could cook a good dish Without many dishes. THREE POUNDS OF SWEET POTATOES Straight from the can Should be heated thoroughly In a large saucepan. Stir them constantly While this heating is done But take a minute out To heat the oven. It takes 350 degrees To do the job right So that the end result Is not too dark or light. Mpsh the yams well Add SUGAR, just ONE CUP And ONE THIRD CUP OF BOURBON To liven things up. Now ONE HALF TEASPOON VANILLA And ONE HALF CUP OF BUTTER Youre well on your way And see, no clutter. Beat all ingredients Until they're w'ell blended Then into a two quart baking dish And your woiic is almost ended. TWO CUPS OF TINY MARSHMALLOWS Add the crowning touch Bake for thirty minutes Thats not asking much. Served straight from the oven All gold and warm as toast Youd be less than human If you didn't want to boast. Even if youre from somewhere Other than the sunny South When you sit down to this dish You won't shut yo' mouth! r RESTAURANT HOURS 7:30am - 2:00pm . 2 |
