Other than the audio-visual accompaniment, students will not use any props or costumes cos-tumes during the program, and they will wear matching white shirts and black pants or skirts, allowing visitors to focus solely on the music. According to Von (iostomski. (ios-tomski. music is more valuable than just a performance art, particularly when songs are related to academic classes. Using Us-ing rhythm and verse can help students memorize important facts more easily as well as make learning more enjoyable, particularly for students who may struggle with less creative forms of study. "Music creates memories," he said. Those memories are not just academic, however. Von (iostomski also said that the program helps students develop de-velop their self esteem by performing per-forming successfully in front of an audience and by demon-st demon-st rating what they've learned as a group. Coordinating a program with the entire fourth grade can be a challenge, but Von Gostomski said it is easier than trying to arrange individual indi-vidual class programs. Furthermore, by presenting an evening program in addition addi-tion to the morning performance perfor-mance for the school, students are able to share their singing talent and new knowledge with their parents. "The greatest benefit is showing off in front of their parents," Von Gostomski said. "The students are excited and proud of what they've done."
