The article told of a family fami-ly who moved into Salt Lake City where appearances and conduct were apparently too much for some in the neighborhood. Although he currently lives here now, Moyer has not always al-ways lived in Utah. Moyer was raised in South Jersey and when it came time to write a script he wanted to create something to draw upon both interesting extremes of his life. Moyer said it seemed comical to take the place in which he lived now and combine it with the place from which he came-and then let the two worlds collide. "I wanted to show the natural natu-ral comedy of combining these two different worlds without excluding either group," said Moyer. Preproduction for the film began be-gan in December 2004 and casting cast-ing auditions were held in Utah and Los Angeles. While some main characters were chosen from Hollywood, several local actors including Scott Christopher, Christo-pher, Jeanette Puhich, Clayton Taylor, Britani Bateman and Olesya Rulin are all local talent appearing in the movie. "This is a local film and what better place to find great actors than in Utah," said Moyer.
