Jay was born February Febru-ary 10, 1953 in American Fork to Paul and Clarice Gray Sykes. He married Carolyn Winters and was later divorced. He married Barbara Bar-bara Edwards on April 10, 1993. Jay grew up in Pleasant Grove and graduated from high school in 1971. He worked as a brick mason ma-son for many years. Jay enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and just being outdoors with family and friends. He enjoyed gardening garden-ing and had a good spirit and great heart. He will be missed by all. We love you Jay! He is survived by his wife Barbara of American Fork: four children: Jayson, Ashley, Paul, and Austin; step-children: Todd, Tyler, and Heidi; four grandchildren; grandchil-dren; mother, Clarice; siblings: Jean, Larry, Carole, Kevin, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 10, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Grovecreek Fourth Ward Chapel, 942 North 500 East, Pleasant Grove.
