Show P. KCCKERHANS .Funeral services were Wednesday, Jan. 6, at", ten Orem 13th Ward dhapel, for Nora Viola Perry Kocherhans, 91, who died at her home in Orem Sunday, Jan. 3, 1982. 7 . She was born Nov. 2, 1890,' in Vernal the daughter of Hyrum and N.6ra Scott Perry. She married William G. Kocherhans Oct. 7, 1909, irC the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Oct. 27, 1939. She lived her younger life in Lovell, Wyoming and moved to Orem in 1923. She has been an active member of. the LDS Church. She was a Primary and Sunday School teacher, genealogy worker and in November 1980, she received her 50-year visiting teacher certificate. ;: She is survived by four sons and three daughters, Glen Kocherhans Kocher-hans of Provo; Ivan Kocherhans of Bountiful; Chester Kocherhans of Orem; Hilda Murphy, Marge Kocherhans, and Mrs. Lloyd (La Priel) Louder, all of Orem; 25 grandchildren; 67 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Curtis Perry of Fruit Heights; and Ruby P. She was born March 31, 1917 in Vernal to Joseph C. and Delia Alp-lanalp Alp-lanalp Price. She married Ralph E. Simpson, Simp-son, Feb. 27, 1941, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1936. She had lived in Vernal, Bennett and Provo. She was a member of the LDS Church, Orem 90th Ward. She served an LDS mission to the Central States in 1938. She served as mission secretary and was director of libraries for Sharon West Stake for several years. She also served as Relief Society counselor and teacher. She operated, with the husband, the Simpson Market in west Provo for 16 years. Her survivors include her husband; three sons and two daughters, Kent R. Simpson, Simp-son, and Richard P. Simpson, both of Orem; Ralph J. Simpson, of Boise, Idaho; Mrs. Roger (Sherri) Benhunin of Torrey; Mrs. John (Sue) Mineer of Ogden; six grandchildren; one brother and three sisters, John Price of Maeser; Mrs. Ray (Alice) Jenkins of Vernal; Mrs. Birch " (Eva) Boise of Provo, and Mrs. Lee (Donna) Ralphs of Springville. Burial was in the Hooper City Cemetery. ' Foreign Student Drivers Education Class Offered The Department of Health Science in cooperation cooper-ation with the ation with the Department Depart-ment of Conferences and Workshops at BYU is pleased to announce a Drivers' Education class to assist foreign students or other adults to quality for a Utah driver's license. Presently Utah law requires that an individual in-dividual complete an approved ap-proved Drivers' Education Educa-tion course before a driver's license may be issued. The Drivers' Education class will provide pro-vide extensive behind the wheel training. Students are encouraged to register early inasmuch as enrollment in the class will be limited to 30 students. The class will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, Jan. 19-March 31, from 1:10-2:00 p.m., in 235 Richards Building. The cost will be $65. Paul Coon, will be the instructor. Participants of any race, creed, sex, color, ethnic or national origin or qualified handicapped persons are accepted for James Afton Harward James Afton Harward, 79, of American Fork, formerly of Orem, died December 31 at the American Fork Hospital. He was born June 26, 1902 in Aurora, Utah to Ozias Strong Harward and Frances Eva Curtis Harward. He married Essie Knight on March 24, 1924 in the Manti LDS Temple. Mr. Harward was a steelworker for US Steel. He was a member of the LDS Church and attended the American Fork Fourth Ward where he was the high priest group leader. ' - Mr. Harward was a Temple worker and was employed at Deseret Industries for several years. Survivors include his wife, Essie and six sons: James Dever of Chester, Utah; Darr D. of Las Vegas, Nevada, Conrad Afton of Beverton, Oregon, Sherman Dean of Loomis, Calif., Russell L. of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Elden K of American Fork. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren, and three brothers, O. Harry Harward of Provo and Sahrlan Harward of Provo. He was also survived by one sister, Mrs. Elmira Lewis of Provo and Heber H. Harward of Tuson, Arizona. Funeral services were held Monday at the American Fork Fourth Ward chapel.
