Show Orem-Geneva Times- Thurs., Sept. 15, 1966 Valley Music Hall Fall Calendar Glen Yarbrouga will perform at Valley Music Hall for one night only, Sept. 16. Yarbrough has several hit records to his credit, including "Honey Winds Blow Appearing with him will be the Stanyan Street Quartet and comedian Biff Rose. On September 17 a special teenage attraction at the North Salt Lake Theatre will feature The Association in a show called "The Blue Door Stir. The As-, sociaton Is a red-hot singing group that sings "Cherish the number one song on local hit parades. The group also recorded record-ed the song "Along Comes Mary." The September 17 show is a special for teenagers in more ways than one. Young people will be admitted for $3.50 per person on a first come, first served basis. There will be no reserved seats for the show, (which starts at 7:30 p.m) and following the "Stir a dance featuring feat-uring five of the best bands of the area will be held at Lagoon-all Lagoon-all for the orginal admission price of $3.50. Dynamic Dinah Shore will appear ap-pear at Valley Music Hall from September 22 through September Septem-ber 24. With her will be Gene Sheldon, a show stopper with his comedy and banjo artistry in last Fall'sHollywoodPalacepre-sentation, Fall'sHollywoodPalacepre-sentation, and the Four Arbors vocal group. October 13-15 the Music Hall will explore the sublime and the ridiculous in music with a show titled "From Blues to Brass." A cavalcade of American music, - m Good Cook's Corner. For the died-in-the-wool jazz addict Al Hirt and Company will hold forth at the Music Hall November 7-12. Variety, bible of show business, reports his travelling show is packing houses and drawing raves all over the country. A touring company, starring Lyle Talbot, will present a play called the Odd Couple, November Novem-ber 23-26. Then December 1-3 the New Christie Minstrels will hold forth with their own special brand of fold-rock. Trophies Awarded To Barracuda Swimming Team The BYU Dolphins and Bar racuda Swim Teams held their closing social recently. Trophy cups were awarded to the boy or girl In each age group racking up the highest number of points for the Barracuda Swim Team during the season. Named in the eight-year-old and under group: Jackie Farrer and Kurt Bester. 9 - 10: Dor othy Black, Danny Clement. 11- 12: Kim Black, Phil Adams. 13- 14: Cathy Cryer, Mike Baxter. 15 and over: Marcia Yonnally, David Baxter. The team trophy for the July 25th meet and the traveling trophy were presented to Parlell Pet- eson by coach Skip Brooks to be put on display at the Scera. Coach Brooks also received a trophy from the team members, and Mrs. Robert Farrer was pre sented one for her work in pre paring younger children to swim on the team. It was a great season for the champion Barracudas they won every meet. They also placed second in the Junior Olympics. The Utes were first. endar with white gladiola were the decor for the reception which honored hon-ored Mr. and Mrs. David Martin Boulton (Janet Mae Brinkeroff) at the Edgemont 2nd Ward. The couple were married in the Salt Lake Temple with Elder Paul H. Dunn of the First Coun cil of Seventy officiating. Parents of the bride and groom are Mr. and Mrs. Teddy A. Brinkerhoff of Edgemont and Mr. and Mrs. James Martin Boulton of Lakeview. The bridal gown was satin and lace with a train of satin held The lace repeated at the throat and on the sleeves. A jeweled crown caught her veil and she carried lavendar and blue daisies with trailing ribbons. Lynette Brinkerhoff was maid of honor for her sister and other attendants were Mrs. Kaye (Diane) (Di-ane) Cutler, sister of the groom; Katherine S taker, SharonSkousen with Shauna Norris as flowed girl. They were all gowned in blue floor-length gowns and carried car-ried white and blue nosegays with long blue and lavendar streamers. Robert Nelson was best man with Earl Black as groom's man. Randy Brinkerhoff andMike Boulton Boul-ton as ushers. Out-of-town guests includedMr and Mrs. Donald F. Allen of New York City; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Alexander Al-exander of Las Vegas, Nevada; Mr. and Mrs. C. E.Baldwinfrora San Bruno, California and several aunts and uncles from Salt Lake City, Clearfield, Layton, Kays-ville, Kays-ville, Springville and Mapleton. Orem Couple Visit Washington & N.Y Recently returned from an ex- citing two weeks in New York and Washington D.C. are Mr. and Mrs. Dale Johnson of Orem. While in Washington Mr. Johnson John-son served as delegate to the National American Legion acting act-ing on the resolutions committee. Besides visiting the national shrines and points of interest, they were privileged to hear President Pres-ident L yndon Johnson and Richard Nixon speak.
