Spalding, 93, of L290 W. 400 S., who died Sunday Sun-day In the Eldred Sunset Hospital Hos-pital of natural causes. Conducting the services was Bishop George W. Jenkins ot the Vineyard LDS Ward. Burial Bur-ial was In the Orem City Cemetery. She was born Dec. 4, 1868, In Randers, Denmark, a daughter daugh-ter of Gustdavid and Christina Olson Swensen. She came to the United States with her par-, ents at the age of three. Following coming to , the United States in 1871, -Mrs. Spalding resided in Payson. She moved to Provo In 1905.' She married Thomas Utting Spalding, Nov. 30, 1892 in Salt Lake City. The marriage wa later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Spalding Spald-ing died July 10, 1929. She was a member of the vineyard LDS Ward and was active in the Relief Society. She was a practical nurse. Needlework and quilting were her hobbies. Delinquency Object at Club Meeting Juvenile delinquency and what can be done about it, was the subject for the members mem-bers of the Orem Women's Club me eting Wednesday afternoon in the Scerar lounge. Dr. Wilford Smith, professor of psychology at Brigham Young University discussed the factors which led uo to the present rate, aid explained why juvenile delinquency had 1-ncreaspd. He told the club members what they could do on a state and community basis to help ?olve the problem. Textbooks to be contributed contri-buted to the Utah State Prison library for use by men working work-ing toward their high school d'plomas, were gathered at the meeting by Mrs. O. S. Allen. Skating Rink Ready for Use Ice skating is available at Orem City Park, thanks to work by the Orem Jaycees, Orem City Park Superintendent Superinten-dent Bob Mellor, and assistant assist-ant Wayne Steele. The work was done with the cooperation of the town's fire department, which loaned use of their trucks.
