Christianity is described with such Biblical terms as spiritual spirit-ual renewal, character growth, 'Jod-glven righteousness, tem-jrance, tem-jrance, ' charity, d isclpline, id faith. These are character-tics character-tics of a person who has defeated de-feated himself to the Chrlst-in Chrlst-in way of life, and obviously nave little meaning for a person per-son who has not given a measure mea-sure of dedication. For, example, exam-ple, a person who has been Involved In-volved hi extremes of conduct will find renewed satisfaction In a more temperate life only If he gives himself to It. This kind of dedication requires investment, in-vestment, and without this there can be no effective faith. This Is the major reason the Church suggests that people put themselves Into some form Christian service. This Is so the major rea-son for the Jblical principle that Chrlst-n Chrlst-n service and financial con-lbution con-lbution be an amount large nough to become a discipline. This is the major, reason for the tithe. The gift is not given just because be-cause the Church must be supported, sup-ported, for this would not be a sufficient motive. Rather, the discipline of giving should be the motive, and the physical plant of the Church is a result of this. The Church architecture architec-ture is a symbol of the faith and dedication of Its members and friends. Faith has many benefits for the person who gives.
