Poulson " Secretary Jan 16-23-30-7 - OREM 'HOHEMAKER OF TOMORROW TO VIE FOR STATE TITLE NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING MEET-ING OF STOCKHOLDERS OP THE PROVO RESERVOIR WATER USERS COMPANY Notice is hereby given that the annual meeting of the stock-hoders stock-hoders of the Provo Reservoir Water Users Company will be held at the Memorial Hall, Lehi Utah, on IWednesday, February 13, 1957, at the hour of 1:30 o'clock p. m. The following matters will be considered at the meeting. 1. Proposed amendments to the Articles of Incorporation'.. (a) That Article III be amended amend-ed to provide that the general place of business at Provo, Utah, may be changed by a vote of a majority of the directors at a regular called meeting of such directors. (b) That Article V be amended amend-ed to provide that the corporate existence be extended for a period of 100 years from January 1, 1957. (c) That Article VI be amended amend-ed to provide that the corporation corpora-tion may also drill, acquire and operate wells and to appropriate acquire, distribute and usewat-er usewat-er from wells. (d) That Article VII, Section 3, be amended to delete all reference re-ference to the Draper District. (e) That Article VIII, Section Sec-tion 1, be amended to provide that the authorized capital stock shall be $1,950,000.00, consisting of 29,000 shares, and that all provisions relating to Provo River Pumped Water Right Stock be deleted therefrom. That Sections 2, 3, and 4, be amended to specify the distribtS tion of iDeer Creek Reservoir storage water and Echo Reservoir Reser-voir storage water among the chares of Full Water Right Stock. That Section 5 be amended amend-ed by deleting the whole thereof there-of and in lieu thereof to provide pro-vide for the distribution, use, operation, and maintenance costs of leased water, and to provide for the participation in drilling wells, the distribution, use, operation and maintenance costs of such well water. That Sections 6, 8, 9, and 10, be amended amen-ded by deleting the whole thereof there-of and that a new Section 6 be adopted describing the kind of stock and specifying provisions for the transfer of stock between be-tween districts. (f) That Article XI be amended to specify the required notice for the annual meeting. (g) That Article XII, Section 1, be amended to require that the officers of the corporation, except the Secretary and Treasurer, Trea-surer, be stockholders of the corporation. That Section 2 be amended to specify the number of directors from each district and to provide for a director at large. That Section 3 be amended amend-ed to require the rotation of the office of the director at large between be-tween the Provo Division and the Jordan Division. She received tne highest score in a written examination on homemaking knowledge and attitudes, administered Dec. 4, to senior girls in the graduating class. Her examination paper will be entered in competition to name this state's candidate for the title of Ail-American Homemaker of Tomorrow and vill also be considered for tha runnerup award in he state. For her achievement, she will receive re-ceive an award pin designed by Trifari of New York. The national winner in the third annual Search conducted among 300,526 young women in 11,636 of the nation's public, private and parochial high schools will be named May 2 at the American Table banquet in the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, New York City. BISHOP BILLINGS IN CALIFORNIA Bishop Laird D. Billings and his wife Helen, are spending the week in Los Angeles, they plan to visit the LDS temple in Los Angeles and then on the route home go via Mesa Arizona.
