'MIA. - - , Prizes Awarded At Hill Crest Ward Talent Show A Talent Show was presented by the Hill Crest ward MIA on Tuesday evening. Roy Rowland, YMMIA president, acted as master of ceremonies. The judges jud-ges for the evening were mem bers of the Sharon Stake MIA board, Loren Bliss, Rilla Griffiths Grif-fiths and Ava Winterton. The contestants were divided into three groups: those under 12, those from 12 to 17, and from 17 to 110. Three prizes were given in the youngest group to David Carter for his selection on the electric guitar, Val Anderson for his song and dance, "Woodpecker Song", and Eva Fay Nielsen for her tap dance. Others taking part in this class were Gary Keetch on the piano, Deanna Barnum with a piano solo, and Janeal Barnum, who sang, accompanied acc-ompanied by Loree Johnson. In the second age group the winners were Acel B o w n, with an original piano number and Bonnie Kay Jameson, who gave a reading. Others taking part were Marelene Skinner, with a piano solo; and Nadean Nielsen, a song, accompanied by Lucille Woffinden. An impersonation of Carmen Miranda by Willard Gerber was so realistic that he was given the prize for the third group. Norman Oliphant who sai.g a baritone solo and played the piano was also presented with an award.. Donkey Basketball Set for Lincoln Gym Saturday Donkey basketball, dubbed America's most ass-inine game, will come to Orem Saturday when the Lincoln faculty and the Orem Jaycees clash at the Lincoln high school in a hoop tilt which will see all the players play-ers astride donkeys. The game is a benefit for the athletic fund of Lincoln high school and is set for 8 p.m. The burros wear rubber shoes shoes and are house-broken, according ac-cording to sponsors of the un usual game. They promise a hilarious time for onlookers-Probable onlookers-Probable starting lineup for the Lincoln faculty is Coach Glen Zimmerman and J. Erval Christensen at forwards, Frank Newman at center, and John guards. The Jaycees are banking bank-ing on Dick Burr and Russell Parks to tank the baskets as forards, Richard Parks will play center, and Lee Christiansen and Ted Simmons will be guards. The lesson on "Western Folklore" Folk-lore" will be given by Vaneese Woffinden. Gifts will be exchanged ex-changed by those present. The music will be arranged by Winnie Win-nie Graff.
