LEGAL NOTICES ORDINANCE NO. 77 AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX AND PROVIDING FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF PROPERTY IN SPECIAL IM-PROVEMENT IM-PROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 8 WITHIN OREM CITY, UTAH COUNTY, STATE OF UTAH, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION CON-STRUCTION OF SEWER MAINS FRONTING THE PROPERTY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Orem City, Utah County, State o! Utah: Section 1. The City Council of Orem City, Utah County, State of Utah does hereby levy a tax and provide for the assessment assess-ment of the same upon the property prop-erty hereinafter described In Special Improvement District No. 8 for the purpose of paying for the construction of sewer mains fronting or abutting upon said property and as shown by the plat of said Special Improvement Improve-ment District No. 8 on file in the office of the City Recorder of Orem City, Utah, to-wit: FRONTAGE ON 4th NORTH STREET ON NORTH SIDE Beginning 645.4 feet West and 25 ft. North of the Southeast corner of Section 10, Township Town-ship 6 South, Range 2 East of Salt Lake Base & Meridian and running thence East 3266.5 feet more or less to the West side of 4th East St. FRONTAGE ON THE SOUTH , SIDE OF 4th NORTH STREET Beginning at - the Northwest corner of Lot 27 of the Knight i Subdivision, said point, being 2695.6 feet East and 19.8 feet South of the SE Cor. of Sec. 10 T. 6 S.' R. 2 c, S.L.B.&M. and running thence East 643. feet. ";. . The above mentioned lots, parcels or pieces of land to be assessed to the entire depth of the same ownership back from said street not exceeding 250 feet. Cor. of the NWVi of Sec tion 14, T. 6 S., R. 2 E S.L.B. &M. and running thence East 2636.6 feet. The above mentioned lots parcels or pieces of land to be assessed to the entire depth of the same ownership back from said Street not exceeding 250 , feet. i The tax hereby levied and to i be assessed upon the lots, parcels ! or pieces of land is the sum of ! $5,878.08 and the cost per front foot is $2.23. Section II. Thai the assess ment list as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of Equalization of the property described in Set-iron I of this Ordinance is hereby confirmed and the assessment made and returned in said completed list and the report of the Board of Equalization are hereby ratified, rati-fied, approved and confirmed. Section III. That said tax shall be payable in ten equal yearly installments, with interest on any delinquent installment unpaid un-paid at the rate of 10 per annum, an-num, which interest shall be charged from and after the due date of each installment, to-wit: one-tenth thereof one year after this Ordinance levying the tax for the payment of the improvement improve-ment becomes effective; one-tenth one-tenth thereof two years thereafter; there-after; one-tenth thereof three years thereafter; one-tenth there- of four years thereafter; one-tenth one-tenth five years thereafter; one-tenth one-tenth six years thereafter; one-tenth one-tenth seven years thereafter; one-tenth eight years thereafter; one-tenth nine years thereafter; and one-tenth ten years thereafter; there-after; provided, however that one or more of such installments in the order payable or the whole tax may be paid without interest in-terest within fifteen days from the date this Ordinance becomes effective. Provided further that interest shall be payable on the whole sum unpaid at the rate of 4V4 per annum, payable at the time each installment is due. Default in the payment of any sucn installment of principal. when due, shall cause the whole of the unpaid principal to be come due and payable immediately, immedi-ately, and the whole amount of the unpaid principal shall there AFTER DESCRIBED." after draw interest at the rate of 10 per annum until paid, but at any time prior to the date of sale or foreclosure the owner may pay the amount of all unpaid un-paid installments, with interest at the rate of 4b per annum to date of payment on the delinquent de-linquent Installments, and all accrued costs, and shall there upon be restored to the right thereafter to pay in installments in the same manner as if default had not occured Section IV. The City Recorder shall deliver to the City Treasur er certified copy of this Ordinance Ordin-ance levying such tax and such Treasurer shall, without delay, give at least five days notice in one or more newspapers having a general circulation in Orem City of the time when such tax shall become delinquent. Sec'ion V. In the opinion of the City Council of Orem City, it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the best health, safety and welfare of Orem City and the inhabitants thereof thst this Ordinance become effective immediately and an emergency is hereby declared to exist and on account thereof this Ordinance Ordin-ance shall take effect on the date of its passage, approval and publication. pub-lication. Section VI. This Ordinance shall be published once in the Orem-Geneva Times, a newspaper news-paper of general circulation in Orem City.
