Printers Week Observance Set By proclamation of the governor, gov-ernor, by speakers, window displays dis-plays and other activities, the printing industry of Utah will bring to the attention of the people this week the important place this multimillion dollar industry holds in the cultural and economic life of the state. In issuing his procamation to Jean Nuttall, who has been officially off-icially designated as "Miss Printer's Prin-ter's Devil" of 1951, Governor J. Bracken Lee cited the great strides made in printing over the years and especially during the past two or more decades. He called on the people to note the splendid public service rendered by the state by the daily and country press and other oth-er printers, and declared that it was largely because of a free press that America has been rble to achieve the great industrial, indus-trial, cultural and educational positios she holds in the world today. One of the leading window dispays was installed in the Salt Lake City offices of the Utan Power and Light Company. This display which was contributed by the various printing plants of the city traced the history and the various methods of printing today. The week's activities will wind up with a dinner meeting Friday, Jan. 19, at 6:30 p.m. in the Hotel Utah.
