Hope Funeral Services Bishop Arch Pulham of Ver mont ward conducted Impressive Impres-sive funeral services Thursday at 1:30 In Sharon ward chapel for Thehna Selman Hope, 34, who passed away Friday at Mesa, Arizona, from a heart ail ment. Lucile Olsen played proces sional and recessional music; Rueben S. Pyne, sang "in the Garden" and the invocation was offered by B. M. Jolley. A violin duet was played and William S Cook and Bishop Pulham spoke of the fine character of the young woman, and offered sym pathy at her early passing. Cur tis Gordon sang "Going Home" and the benediction was offered by John T. Kaley. The grave at the Provo burial park was dedicated by Kenneth McEwan. Thelma Selman Hope was born Oct. 30, 1911 to George V. and EUatheria McEwan Selman of Orem. ' She was a diligent worker in school and church, even though handicapped with ill health. She married William E. Hope, October 17, 1938, In Los Angeles, "wher they made their home for three years, re turning to Utah, until he entered service. Her husband was kill ed In action on Leyte, on March 4, 1943. She went .to Mesa In October to do LDS temple work and remained there until her death. , , She la survived by her father and? step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. George Selmans and the following fol-lowing brothers and sisters: Mrs. r, Percy (Naomi) Thatcher and libs.
