LEGAL NOTICES AND MORE Celebrations Rees, 50th 1 L' .f Jerry and Louise Rees will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary an-niversary on Saturday. April 2L 2006. Jerry and Louise both grew up in Lyman, Wyoming, and were childhood sweethearts since the fifth grade. After attending BYU for a quarter, quar-ter, wedding bells rang. Soon after they moved to Southern California where Jerry got a job in construction construc-tion and Louise set up home. It soon became obvious that Jerry had a knack for construction. His talent combined with hard work proved to be a great foundation for a 45-year career which included owning his own company and being involved in many landmark homes in Beverly Hills. Quickly children came, and as always their priority was on fam-. fly. This endeavor kept Louise very busy as a bomemaker and mother of five children, four boys and one girL As time went on and children grew, life was full of happy memories memo-ries of youth football, cheer tea ding, loud guitars and family camping trips. Soon came weddings, missions mis-sions and eventually grandchildren, all of which created years of fulfillment fulfill-ment and happiness. The lure of Utah was too much for the children to resist, and one-by-one they moved back. With priority pri-ority on family they soon followed. It didn't seem to matter really what they were doing, as long as they were all together. The beauty of the mountains and the fun of Moab and Lake Rowel, are the perfect playground play-ground for grandparents to spend with family. Jerry spends much of his retired time golfing and putting around their Highland home working work-ing on his many projects. He loves working on and driving his Jeep on the challenging trails of Moab. Louise spends her time attending grandchildren's various activities, cheerleading, sports, worrying about Jerry doing the chalknging trails of Moab, dance and writing letters to missionary grandsons. She has also proven to be a free financial fi-nancial and medical advisor, always listening ear, and with the protec- ffwmv to 4KD) (( & a ) mm tion abilities that any mother bear would envy. As parents often do, Jerry and Louise still teach by setting an incredible example of love by supporting their elderly mothers. Louise's mother is Nedra Thomason (90), and Jerry's mother is Wakra Rees (100). Their children, including Randy and Sharon Rees of Alpine. Corev and Kathy Rees of Bluff dak, Alan and Dana Van Oostendorp of Highland, High-land, Sterling and Chantelk Rees of American Fork and Cody and Natalie Nata-lie Rees also of American Fork; as well as their 11 grandchildren are thrilled to congratulate them for all the exciting years that they have spent together, and hope that joy and happiness will fiS their lives for decades to come. As family gathered to celebrate their golden anniversary, a DVD tribute of their lives together was presented to them. It ended with this quote. "It has been said that the greatest accomplishment that be achieved in this life is to create a loving family. There is no greater tribute to parents, more benefit to children, and gift to posterity than the example of unconditional love." Your children forever. Randy, Corey, Dana, Sterling and Cody.
