Billings believes the enthusiasm enthu-siasm also stemmed from the fact that lh main character is a kid, making the play more comfortable comfort-able and fun for young students. Students rehearsed for more than two months, with regular practices culminating in full show rehearsals just prior to the performances. per-formances. The biggest challenge Billings faced was structuring rehearsals to be convenient for everyone. Rather than require every student stu-dent to attend hours of practice even for small parts, she arranged ar-ranged rehearsaLs to efficiently hover over spring break their panoramic picture last week. Timpanogos High ScFkx)1 Productions Company is preparing pre-paring to perform Gilbert and Sullivan's classic operetta, "The Pirates of Penzance." Unforgettable and delightful delight-ful songs have endeared this hilarious show to generations for 150 years. The play will be performed April 27-29 and May 1 at 7:30 p.m. A matinee will also be April 29 at 3 p.m. Dinner will be offered April 29, at 6 p.m., with the evening show included, for $15. The performances will be in the auditorium at Timpanogos High School, 14.50 N, 200 East. Tickets may be purchased in advance at $5 for general admission, ad-mission, and $4 for students, children, and senior citizens. Tickets may also be purchased at the door, for another dollar per ticket. For reservations, call Timpanogos High School at (801) 223-3120. Tickets for the dinner theater on April 29 are $15 and must be purchased in advance. "Pirates" is a fun-filled story about a young man named Frederick who is mistakenly apprenticed to a band of pirates, pi-rates, and must fulfill his duty to them while trying to win the heart and hand of Mabel, the beautiful daughter of a major ma-jor general. The story is filled with upbeat music, including immortal favorites like "Poor Wandering One," "With Catlike Cat-like Tread," and "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major Ma-jor General." The play is directed by Agnes Ag-nes Broberg and stars Beau Brewster, Kylee Janis, Kyle Harper, Brock Clark, Spencer Spen-cer Mayberry, Kelli Johnson, Shelley Bulkley, and Cameron Harper. The show is choreographed choreo-graphed by Dani Gull and Nathan Broberg, with Andrea Chapman as vocal director. ALL SCHOOLS Spring break This week is spring break for aU Alpine District schools.
