One piece of the pie could total nearly $2.5 million each year until the year 2028. The projected property tax estimated by a tax summary study was $199,027,725 or approximately $8 million each year from IM Flash Technologies. The Tax Entity Committee, originally organized in 1995 has determined how the funds would be allocated, was reactivated in late February and presented its. proposed amendment to the Lehi Redevelopment Agency board on Tuesday. The RDA board unanimously approved adoption of the amendment plan. Adopting an amended Alpine Highway Economic Development Flan will authorized 70 percent of the property taxes generated by the IM Flash Technologies Plant to go back into its Redevelopment Agency to pay off the costs of building the utility infrastructure that was needed initially to build the Micron building. The remaining 30 percent will be divided up among the municipalities, munici-palities, the Alpine School District, Dis-trict, Lehi City, Utah County and others as tax revenue. Alpine School District business administrator Rob Smith met with Lehi City on March 27 to finalize a distribution schedule. "The meeting yesterday was productive," Smith said during a March 28 interview. "A tentative distribution schedule was established estab-lished for review by the full committee com-mittee at the next meeting." He said pending a Tax Entity Committee decision the percent- Mandolin Reg $109 T or package $129.95 includes mandolin case strap tuner with coupon Ibanez Gax Guitar Package GAX 30 Reg $369.95 Includes: guitar amp gig bag strap pics with this Co : : ff I Iff (i III 1 I - Mailable I I 1 i I PaVl6th 0 n WWW P f c ) Adagio Digital Pianos INTRODUCTORY SPECIAL 12 PRICE 5 models to choose from lA .n i 0 51- 100 it ' Committee funding ages of the tax increments may stifl change. Members of the Tax Entity Committee were presented in February during a Lehi Redevelopment Redevel-opment Agency meeting Lehi Councilman Stephen Holbrook became committee chair; Rob Smith, Alpine School District representative, was nominated as vice chair; and Lehi recorder Connie Ashton remained as its secretary, a position she has served for the committee since it was first formed. "We have met once as a com- . plete board, but we have met individually like the city has met the school district independently," indepen-dently," Holbrook said. "The meetings have been more like work sessions and are getting everybody up to speed of what it is entailing." Other members of the board included Larry Newton, Utah State Education Board school finance and statistics director, or his alternate Kathy Dudley; Stan Lockhart, IM Flash Technologies spokesman; Steve White and Larry Ellertsoh, county commissioners com-missioners representing Utah County; Lehi Councilman James Dixon representing Lehi City; and Randy FieL, attorney. Lorin Powell represented the Lehi Municipal Mu-nicipal Water District and other water districts involved in the taxing entity area. Once organized, most of Committee's Com-mittee's work dealt with housekeeping house-keeping issues, setting policies for meetings such as allowing electronic meetings. Municipal representatives have been hammering ham-mering out details to an interlocal agreement to present to the committee com-mittee for approval Most of the negotiations have gone smoothly. "Last time we met, I thought we were singing 'Kumbaya, Utah County Commissioner Larry EDertson said of the committee com-mittee members who have, he said, been quite amiable throughout through-out the process. Basically, the committee is accepting all of the statutory changes that have been made since 1995 and is extending the tax increments through tax years 2028.
