Its purpose is to help citizens become more aware of their yards and to enhance their beauty. First place winner for the 1975 contest was Paul Coon of 490 N. 500 E. Orem Holds Beautiful Home Contest Orem's first, 'MostBeautiful-ly 'MostBeautiful-ly Landscaped Home Contest," was held from the end of August through the middle of September. Hopefully the contest will continue con-tinue to serve as an incentive for maintaining the beauty of Orem's Homes. The contest was sponsored by the Orem Pride Committee, and Green Acres Nursery. Last years winners we re; first place, the Paul Coon home at 490 N. 500 E.; second place, the Wills Wil-ls Peay Home at 933 W. 230 !.; iai third place, the Dean W. Gillman home at 611 E. 1600 N. According to Kenneth Teames, chairman of the Home Pride committee, com-mittee, judging the contest was especially difficult because of the many fine nominations. The winner will receive tickets for his or her immediate family to the big Panorama '76 show on July 4th. "The greatest incentive incen-tive to become the winner in the theme contest is the jwonderful feeling the person will have for his or her great contribution to the Bi-Centennial celebration," Lewis said.
