Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Pierce of the graduation of their son, Wilford Wil-ford Vard Pierce of Salt Lake City from the University of Utah. Vard, who is a Lincoln High School graduate served in the Navy during World War II and in the army during the Korean campaign. He has attended we U-SA.C. at Logan and the Uni versity of Mines and Mills in Texas. Vard will graduate with an Engineering major, he is presently employed with the United States Bureau of Re clamation and is captain in the Engineering Battalion of the Murray National Guard. Utah A-l DESCRIPTION OF WORK This project includes the construction con-struction of a complete and operative se vv age treatment plant. Major components are (1) Comminutor (2) Pre- area-tion area-tion and grit removal tank (3) Two 75-foct di;;:ncter primary clarifiers. (4) Two 135-foot diameter dia-meter trickling filters (5) Two 75-foot diameter secondary clarifiers (6) Two 75-foot diameter dia-meter sludgs digesters (7) A pump - house and administrative administra-tive building (8) A digester control building. LEGAL NOTICE DUST OILING OREM CITY STREETS Where property owners are interested in DUST OILING the street adjacent to their property proper-ty the City will be very glad to contract the Oil Company's and get the oil delivered and spread. The cost at present is 10 cents per running foot for a strip twenty four (24') feet wide. This would cost the adjacent ad-jacent property owners 5 cents per running foot. The minimum truck spreader load Is 5500 gallons gal-lons and this will necessitate dust oiling a minimum of approximately ap-proximately two miles of street.
