Hebertson of Orem, Incumbent j member of the Utah State Legis-I Legis-I lature who is seeking re-election from the second legislative dis- i irict on the Democratic ticket. Hebertson stated, i As a member of a special committee, com-mittee, appointed toy the mayor of Orem to study the possibility of establishing a national guard armory here, Mr. Hebertson reported re-ported that the prospects of a legislature leg-islature appropriation for the National Guard building program should assure Orem of a new Armory sometime next year. A new member of the Kiwanis Club, Brig Gen. William Bledsoe (retired), was accepted by the club. He was introduced to the club by Joseph T. Smith. Sharon Wins Junior Title Sharon defeated Hillcrest 8 to 7 to win the Junior Baseball title, of the Orem-Scera league. How they Finished Junior League Sharon. Pee Wee League Sharon The Westmore Yankees won the City Championship by de feating the Sharon Braves in two out of three games. In the event that the Montrex team wins, a second game will have to be played to determine the champions, as the tourney is being played on a double elimination elimina-tion basis. The Montrex team has had one defeat in tourney play compared to no defeats for the Orem First Ward Club. Nat'l League Stars Win Cub Crown The National League All-Stars of Orem defeated the American League All-Stars of Orem, 19-17 Monday night to capture Alpine Area Little League championship, ship. Orem Man Is Partner In New Provo Pharmacy Partner in the new Berntsen and Evans Pharmacy operating at 266 N. Univ., Provo, is John R. Berntsen of Orem. His associates is Gene Evans of Provo. The pharmacy specializes in prescriptions prescrip-tions and carries all drug store merchandise. Mr. Berntsen has worked for the Skaggs Drug Center for the past ten years of which he spent two years in Boise, Ida., three vears in Salt Lake Citv and the last five years In Provo. He grad uated from University of Utah with a B.A. degree in zoology and received his B.S. in nharmacy from Idaho State College where he also taught for two years. A native of Salt Lake City he is maried to the former Ellen Sorensen of Moroni, Utah. They have two boys, Mike and Louis. The Berntsens moved to Orem three years ago. where they now reside. Degree Harold E. Nimer, 720 S. State, Orem, is among some 275 persons who will receive gradutae or undergraduate un-dergraduate degrees at the University Uni-versity of Utah's 1956 Summer Commencement exercises Aug. 24. Mr. Nimer, a son of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Nimer, Orem, will receive re-ceive a B. A. degree in biology, graduating with honors. He is a freshman student in the U. College Col-lege of Medicine and 1947 graduate grad-uate of Lincoln High School. Winner and runnerup both received re-ceived trophies and all other teams received an official little League bat. A watermelon bust was held following the tourney for all the players. Student Fees For Secondary Schools Are Announced The Board of Eduction of the Alpine School District approved registration fees for secondary schools for the school year 1956-57 1956-57 as follows: Senior High School activity fee $7,00; deposit fee $2.00; total $9.00. Junior High School, seventh and eighth grades, activities fee $2.50; deposit fee, $1.50; total $4.00. Ninth Grade, activity fee $5.00; deposit fee $2.00; total $7.00. The deposit fee is charged to safeguard proper respect in pupil use of textbooks, equipment aad supplies. The whole or part of this fee is returned to the student at the close of school in the spring.
