Bids may be left with Leo Broadhead at the Orem Postoffice on or before August 28th Bids will be opened at Veterans Council Meeting Aug. 29th at 8:00 p.m. Local Man Named Utah Oil Distributor Changes in the operation of Utah Oil Refining Company's Provo bulk plant were announced announc-ed this week by J. J. Winter, Utoeo's Provo division sales manager consumer. Glenn Ripple, Rip-ple, former warehouseman at ?he Provo bulk plant, was named products distributor at Spring-ville; Spring-ville; M. Dover Hunt, formerly assistant Warehouseman at the Provo bulk plan, was appointed products distributor for the Provo area. Mr. Hunt has been with the Utah Oil Refining Company since February, 1941. He has worked in the tire warehouse in Salt Lake City, later in the transportation department in Salt Lake, and in July, 1943, began be-gan working out of the Provo bulk plant as tank truck salesman sales-man until his appointment as assistant warehouseman. After graduation from Lehi high school in 1934, Mr. Hunt helped on his father's farm until 1938 when he went on a mission for the LDS church, spending 28 months in the southerd states. He is presently active in church organizations in Orem, where he is second counselor in the Orem stake presidency. Mr. Hunt married Alice Young in 1940 and they have three children. child-ren. Mr. Ripple has been in the employ of Utah Oil Refining Cimpany for 14 years, first as a tank truck salesman and then as warehouseman in the Provo bulk plant. Before joining Utoco he was employed as service station stat-ion attendant for five years at the Utoco station at 3rd South and 7th East in Provo. He was also manager of the Associated Oil Company in Spanish Fork for four years. A graduate of Provo High school, Mr. Ripple also attended Brigham Young University for two years. He married Naomi Douglas in 1937 and, they have three children. In announcing the changes, Mr. Winter emphasized that the switch from a company operat- SCERA CHATTER Every night the past week our theatre has been packed with enthusiastic folks. It will be shown on our program Monday, Mon-day, Tuesday and Wednesday, along with a new Tarzan picture called TARZAN'S PERILS starring star-ring Lex Barker.
