Time will tell. The producer of our rodeos for the past two years tried to help us in every way to get this celebration started as an annual affair, but he made the statement that he had never put on a show where so Jittle co operation was received from the people of the city. Too many people saw a free show from homes and cars parked on side streets- A patrol was need ed along the fences to keep respectable res-pectable citizens from breaking through. Drive through the cities of our state and other states, also notice the location of many of their grounds. You will find most of them on main traveled streets near the center of towns or close in. They are pointed to with civic pride. The Orem Riding club had a hard, time getting started. By permission of the owners we went' from one vacant field to another. Then the city offered us the use of part of the city park where we are now locaed. At that time there seemed to be no. objection, to our activities anct we hoped to accomplish many things. . With Roy Park as our leader we went into the mountains, cut down trees, hauled them to the city and had them sawed into material with which we built the arena structures as they now stand, being worth thousands thous-ands of dollars Many have rated it to be one of the finest arenas in the state. Our grand stand is not completed. com-pleted. The whole structure is sadly in need of paint. These are two of the things we had hoped to do. From a membership member-ship of about 10 or 12 we have grown to one of four times that number. Last year we formed a corporation and now have rules and regulations by which we are governed as a club. We welcome new members.
