I t;r North University Ave. - Phonie 618 eaeeaeaHrI Lincoln Students Help Make Xmas Merrier At State Hospital The "true spirit of Christmas i was seen, felt and heard at the Utah State Hospital last week as various "Santa Claus minded" groups lavished entertainment and refreshments on appreciative patients. 1 hroughout the week, a fter- noons ands evenings, parties were held on each of the wards with Gray Ladies as hostesses. They served beautifully decorated Christmas cakes and ice cream marie and distributed on the wards by the hospital kitchen personnel. Delicious candy was made by the Home Economics students at the Dixon Jr High, Farrer Jr Hi.rsh, ,B Y High, Provo High Lehi Pleasant Grove, Lincoln and Payson High Schools; who put their hearts to work creating tasty dainties for less fortunate people. Miss Margaret Johnson of Orem, is Utah County Jr. Red Cross Chairman. She was assisted assist-ed by Mrs. Marcia Parks, Alpine School District, J. W. Thornton Provo City Schools. The life of the parties cams from students of the BY High, BY U, American Fork High School and Farrer Junior High School, under the leadership of Mis Carolyn Barlow, president of th Junior Red Cross commission at the Farrer Junior High, who gavs freely of the most wonderous gift of all talent. The Farrer Jr. High orchestra of 70 members under the supervision supervi-sion of Dale Johnson, furnished, a wonderful Christmas program at the hospital Sunday morning. The Utah County Chapter American Red Cross presented Christmas gifts for at least 60t forgotten patients" at Utah Stat Hospital in Provo. The gifts were donated by clubs and organizations organiza-tions of 10 chapters in Utah. The gifts .provided were ' lovely packages to open Christmas anal every patient had a package to open Chrstmas morning. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Graft spent the week-end visiting relatives re-latives and friends in Dixie They left Saturday. Hugh Vern Wentz returned home Christmas evening to be with his family.
