R. Boswtil, Utah County agent. The over nie,ht camp will be open to all 4-H club members in the county, their leaders or chaperons, and their parents, and it will feature handicrafts, nature hikes, stunts, club skits, log sawing contest, horse shot Ditching contest, ar:d Centen nial Quiz. The camp will be ie charge of Phil Shumway, assistant county agent, assisted by Mrs. Jemiev J. Poulson, assistant home demonstration dem-onstration agent and and a group of boys and girls to be selected at the camp. On hand to aid in the recreation recrea-tion and handicraft will be Mar-den Mar-den Broadbent and Lois Smith, specalists from the ex.ension service, Logan, Utah. Zerrell Nielsen, Uintah National Forrest Ranger will handle instructions in nature study. Tuesday will be the day the campers arrive at Balsam. The afternoon will be devoted to hiking and handicraft, handi-craft, tiie-eveniiig to a campfire program. Wednesday morning will be devoted to handcrafts for boys and girlte- The final afternoon aft-ernoon of the day will be centered cen-tered at the amphiteater at 2 p. m-, at which time winners of the varius contests will be announc ed and awards given. Each club will provide its own transportation, food, tents, etc.. and each community will provide pro-vide an entertainment number for the campfire program. The feature of the camplne program pro-gram will be a candelighting ceremony under the drection of a Payson girls club under the supervision of Mrs. Daisy Mc-Clellan. Mc-Clellan. Walking and daughters, daught-ers, Jcanine and Nina arrived in Orem this week after an enjoyable en-joyable motor trip from Washington. Wash-ington. D. C. where the Senator Watkins family have lived for the past six months. They traveled trav-eled with Mitchell Carter, Senator Sen-ator Watkins' assistant and stopped stop-ped at many points of interest enrouie- Mrs. Watkins states that she has thoroughly enjoyed the six months she has spent in the nation's na-tion's capital, and especially the most interesting contacts among the senators' wives and the Utah people who are in Washington. Several hundred Uiahns, many of them employed by the government gov-ernment belong to a Utah State organization. There are five wards of the LDS church in Washington. " Mrs. Watkins want to Salt Lake City Tuesday, where she will spend several days visiting with her sister. She planned to attend the reception for the men and women returning from the Pioneer Trek along the Mormon trail and the Centennial exhibition. Orem Women's Club Entertain Husbands At Canyon Party The Orem Women's club members mem-bers and their husbands held their annual, canyon party Saturday Sat-urday evening at Canyon Glen-Seated Glen-Seated around a large bonfire, they ate a delicious chicken supper and enjoyed visiting and singing during the evening. Mrs. Stephen Novakovich, former for-mer president of the club, who is visiting here from El Paso, Texas, was a special guest at the party. Mrs. Horace Snyder was chairman chair-man of arrangements and was assisted by Mrs. Leland Brooks, Mrs. E. J. Salt Lake Florist To Address Orem Garden Club Fred Augsburger will be the speaker at the next meeting of the Orem Garden club, to be held at the Seminary building Thursday, July si at li prn. He will speak on flower arrangements ,and the care of ci't flowers. He is the manager of the Evans Floral in Salt Lake City and is noted for his unusual unus-ual flower arrangements. Members of the garden club are urged to be present at this meeting where they will hear many suggestions that will help them in preparing their flowers for the show to be held in August. Alpine School Board Employes Hold Annual Canyon Party The Non-Teaching Employees association of the Alpine School District participated in th-'ir annual Canyon party on Saturday. Satur-day. They spent the afternoon at Mutual Dell in American Fork Canyon, in visiting, relaxing, relax-ing, playing baseball and horseshoes. horse-shoes. Singing Mothers of Orem Stake to Meer The Singing Mothers chorus of the Orem Stake Relief Society who are practicing to sing at the October Conference will meet Friday evening at 8 p.m., according to Mrs. Helen B. Weeks, stake Relief Society chorister. Sopranos will meet in the music mu-sic room of the high school, 2nd sopranos in the East room of the seminary, and altos in the West room of the seminary.
