January 2 – February 28: Showcase of Monastery History & Bowls at the Ogden Valley Library. January 13: Valley Forum Meeting at The Ogden Valley Library at 7:00 p.m. This is the first of our new Valley Forum Meetings. This forum is made up of a number of organizations as well as Valley Planning Commissioners. This is an opportunity to bring up the issues and ideas we would like to see (and not see) implemented in our community. January 13: Stomp at Snowcrest Jr. High School. January 14: No School at Valley Elementary, Snowcrest Jr. High and Weber High School. January 17: Martin Luther King Day – No School at Valley Elementary, Snowcrest Jr. High and Weber High School. January 17: Family Storytime – Folklore, Myths and Legends. Your entire family is invited to listen to and/or read aloud favorite poems and stories. Bring along your favorite and read it to the group. Together we will read aloud as long as there is time. Come to the Ogden Valley Library Community Room from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. January 18: Weber State University offers FREE Web classes. Getting Connected at Home – Learn how to choose hardware, software, Internet service providers and access library databases from home. Open to the public and will be taught by university faculty Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Room 138 of the Stewart Library. No registration is necessary. January 21: A Total Lunar Eclipse will occur for nearly 78 minutes and will be visible for observers throughout the Americas. January 23: Brandon Anderson, “Reptile Man,” will present a program on exotic pets at the Ogden Valley Library from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Bring the family to see snakes, lizards, spiders, and frogs, and learn about how to care for these unusual pets. January 25: Weber State University offers FREE Web classes. Internet Basics – Learn how to effectively use Netscape and search engines to find Internet information.
