his speaking ability He was meek and humble and always carried a happy and positive attitude to his life and to those with whom he came in contact He was a devoted husband and father sacrificing much for the welfare of his wife and family He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his family and his many friends and associates He is survived by his wife of West Haven one daughter Aleene S Hawaiian Islands from July 8 1940 to December 31 1942 and was serving there at the time of the bombing of Pearl Harbor Upon returning from his mission he met Vera Aleen Olsen from Logan Utah They were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on October 27 1943 Frank entered military service m the US Air Corp m December 1943 and served his country until receiving his discharge in May 1946 He and Vera were stationed in numerous military bases in Texas California Washington and Wisconsin After completing his military service they returned to Ogden where Frank worked at Hill Air Force Base He then worked at Mountain States Implement where he became manager Concurrent with these jobs Frank began his career in farming which continued to the time of his death He has maintained a herd of dairy cattle for 45 years He loved his work and actively continued working the soil until two months before his passing He served on the Board of Directors of the State and Weber County Soil Conservation Distnct for 25 years He also was elected to the Board of Directors of the Federal Land Bank which position he held for over 15 years A lifelong active member of the LDS Church he served as Bishop of the Wilson Ward for over 12 years and as second counselor in the North Weber Stake Presidency for over six years He held many leadership positions includSunday ing Stake High Councilor School
