and he result of his inquiries proved that ogden ohio can boast of baing the home of a gentleman who joined the army at a much earlier ago than the man mentioned in the pittsburg burg capt john L clem who is now in alie city attending the reunion was only nine yeara old when he first linked his fortunes with those of the war he sen ed two years before he was allowed to but was then only 11 ears of age john L clem was born in newark ohio august he waa very small when he first offered his services as a drummer to capt mc doneal of the third ohio regiment in stay on account of his small sue and
