We are informed on good authority that a company has beet) organized for the purpose of building a narrow guage railroad from Ogden to S.dt Lake. All who have reflected n the matter could not fail to see that a road connecting the Utah Northern ' with the narrow guage lines leading out of Salt Lake City was only a question of time. The new road will be of vast benefit to the Utah Northern, ensuring its financial success. Surveyors are already and ut work, it is the intention of the company to push the work at the earliest possible moment. Ogden is bound to be one of tho most important cities in the Rocky Mouutains. With its Iron works and the industries growing out of that enterprise, five railroads connecting it with the world, east, west, north und south, and various points in the Territory, with its water privileges, agricultural surroundings, and mineral opportunities prospects, it is on the high road to fame, fortune und distinction. Hurry ip the new narrow gunge We shall want it. The Utah On tral will never tufier a ceut by it, while in consequence of the growing demand for transportation as th Clara Wilson, who boarded with Mrs. Carey, were discovered, all in the cold embrace of death. It appears that Mrs. Carev had been sitting in the arm chair. and had undressed her baby for bed. ana Mr. Larey had returned home tor the night, lie had remarked to a gentle man, about an Lour previous, that if any house in the town was safe it was jut certainly his. From the place where another cabin stood, a cry wa heard as if persons were covered tnereiu. Ihe men at once rushed to the snot, and succeeded in dig ging out Gearge Tomlins and Michael iveiiy. lveuy was dead, ins back having been broken, but Georcre was u Tomlins alive, severely bruised, but is able to walk and talk. Report was then circu lated that another cabin covered with snow contained four men who were boarding there; but after gaining access to it they ascertained that there was no person therein. The night was stormy, the wind blowing, hailing and raining at intervals. The bodies being found, the slide was discovered to have commenced above the Emma mine, a little northwest, of ir, and a reacaingsometimber abovethe uork, it separated ini two parts, one part carrying away the upper part of ihe and reaching to the ore house, which was destroyed; the other division passed around east and south of the Emma boarding house, and passed along like the souad of distant thunder and covered the bouses before described, with the foregoiug fatal and disastrous results. A party of men started off to see how the lavage Winsor nnd Stoker works tared, and to ascertain if any other accidents kad occurred. The bodies of the killed were attended to by the sympathizing inhabitants of Alia, and every mark of respect shown to the deceased. Oa Wednesday an inquest wa9 held before Judge Wm. 0. Mills, and a ver-dentered according tj the foregoing fads. The bodies were taken to Salt Lake City in charge of Judge Mills.
