The House not having concurred in the Council amendments to the Bill granting to Women the Elective Franchise, Councilors Smoot, Cannon, Harrington and E. The amounts were ordered to bo inserted in ,Uie Appropriation Bill. A Memorial to, Congress, for an appropriation to erect a Penitentiary, was presented and agreed to. The petition of Peter Madsen, for the exclusive right to fish in certain parts of Utah Lake, was read and referred to the committee on agriculture, trades and manufactures, with instructions to present a bill for the protection of the fishing interests. Several communications were reoaived from the House and read; and the Civil Code was further advanced. In the House theCouucil .Amendment to the Act granting the Elective Fran chise to Women, were not concurred in, and subsequently Messrs. J. Taylor, Thurber, Rockwood, i nd Wright were appointed a committee of conference from the House on the subject; Mr; Pace reported adversely to changing the boundaries of Beaver county. The report of the Weber Road Kanyon Company was received and read. The 'report shows that the company had made a claim on tba Union Company for for as $70,000 damages to compensation their road by the building of the railroad; but it was found by comparing dates and work doae,,ihaUne survey of the U.
