I Magazine. The Utah Mining Gazette, is the title of a new weekly illus tratc d magazine to be published at Salt Lake, by F. T. Perris & Co., and davoted to the mining interests of the Territory It w 11 be modelled after the style of the California "Mining and Scientific Press,' and will first see the light about the 00th inst. This mining field is about the only one open to a literary venture at Salt Lake just now, and we hope the new Gazette will fill the vacancy and prove a success. New was crammed ment to almost everybody present, was as pleasing as it was novel. The orches tra was not up to the mark by a consid erable distance, but this was owing to the short notice and the lack of time for rehearsal of tunes new to the musicians The audience was one of the noisiest we have seen for a long time. It is to be hoped that better order will prevail this evening, or the aid of the police invoked. The "boys" didn't mean any harm, but such interruption and disorder give great offence to many quiet people and especially to the ladies. There will be an entire change of pro Jdstick's Cocbt. It appears that the frog was taken up and the track was being re paired at this point, when a special train loaded with tea and having two engines came up. A red flag had been hoisted as a signal for this train, which was expected, but in such a position that the engine drivers could not see it until too late. The engines were reversed, aad the signal given for down brakes, but it was impassible to bring the train to a stand still. A culvert hd been dug and the first engine bounded over it; the draw bar of the second engine broke and the engine turned off to the left, while the tanks turned up side ways. Four cars piled up on top of each other, and the debris, according to an eye witness, was nearly thirty feet high. The engine drivers jumped and escaped with but slight injury, but the fireman of the second engine crawled out from tic ruins with two legs and one arm broken.
