Now is the time for those who have neglected this important matter to see what ground they stand upon. Tho testimony of friends and acquaint ances, who can say they know Peter gnvo Timothy a yoke of cattle and a bedstead for a ten acre lot, will net be sufficient; the deed of transfer will be of more value than a hundred such testi monies. Those who have no documentary evi dence of their right of possession to tho land which they consider their own, should apply at once to the County Clerk or Recorder and make the matter sure. By doing this they will save themselves a great deal of time, trouble and expen se. When their names are called, on tho day of settlement, if they are not prepared, they will be shelved to make way for those who are ready; and after all the delay and difficulty tliey experi ence, they will have to take the same course to substantiate their claims as we advice them to take now. Land claimants in Weber County should make immediate application to F. S. Richards, Esq., Clerk and Recor der, in Ogden City, obtain information and get their papers.
