The survey also indicates that light housekeeping apartments can be had for a very reasonable figure. The girls' dormitory at the college will be run in accordance with the new low boarding rates. Just as the last ultra-violerays of the sitting sun gilded the ik western slopes of the mighty wasatch mountains and filtered through the strained glass windows of the Thumtarian chapel, Miss Alicia Patricia Giltrocks and Mister Ethelbert Egbert Cudwhistle IV committed matrimony in the presents of a large and attentive audience which included relatives and close scotch friends and of course the parson. Beautiful bokays of wild and tamed posies almost srouded the capacious windows of the church, but rising above them pink and orchid tapers in candelabra borrowed especially for the okasion shed their effulgent glow over the scene. The invited guests, augmented by several insidious, guileful, wily, deceitful gatecrashers gathered early and were ushed into their pews by a corpse of ushers composed without exception of the towns leading social illuminaries who has wooed and lost the popular bride. But they were consoled with the thought that to the victim belongs the spoils. Just as the organist commenced to tear off the martial strains of Lohungarians wedding march the bridal party made a triumphant entrance through the rear door of the church. The brides paternal parent, Z. Aberphizzle Giltrocks, was the first to totter down the flower festooned aisle. He was attired in bright tan oxfords by the College Boot Shop (pd. adv.) suit by Nyes, (pd. adv.) and B. V. D.s by Hoggans (pd. adv.) The bride was draped on one arm and on the other he nonchalantly flourished the latest model Browning Over and Under shotgun (pd. adv.). Following closely on his heels came the meek, unwitting, victim of the proceedings, coming like the veritable lamb to the altar. The victim was attired in a dress suit (supplied by the Ogden Costume Co., pd. adv.) suit by Wrights (pd. adv.) shoes by (pd. adv.) reversible and washable collar and cuffs by another leading Ogden firm, and had just been shaved and by the Whiteway Barber shop, (another pd. Last publication August 26, 1932. Tooth pastes and other dentifrices have only one important function: They clean the teeth. While some are advertised as cures or preventives for pyorrhea, Riggs disease, tender gums, or other mouth disorders, the buyer will find very few, if any, dentifrices entering into interstate trade actually labeled with remedial claims for these maladies. According to expert dental opinion there is no drug nor combination of drugs capable of curing pyorrhea and certain other diseases of the mouth, according to Dr. F. J. Cullen, of the Federal Food and Drug administration. Nor may the buyer expect to find any tooth paste which has any permanent effect in correcting tooth decay and what is popularly known as halitosis, he adds. Dentifrices are useful for cleaning the teeth, says Doctor Cullen, but some so called teeth whiteners contain harmful acids, such as hydrochloric acid, which have a destructive effect upon the enamel of the teeth. . A person who uses a preparation containing such chemicals dees so at some peril. The law dees not require that labels declare the presence of this acid if it ie present The buyer may, however, discover through investigation, or through consulting his druggist, whether or not a dentifrice contains hydrochloric acid. Dentifrices have no magical composition, says Cullen. Their ininclude gredients precipitated chalk, soap, water, baking soda, borax, magnesia, glycerin, alcohol, a sweetening agent, and medicated oils intended to give the article an attractive color or taste. Some tooth pastes have a medicinal taste, but in spite of popular opinion to the contrary, this does not mean that they have any remedial merit in the treatment of diseases othe mouth. bond, at mntrfanonj now and heretofore Historical society September Miss Geraldine Mathews of Dr. and Mrs. Leslie Smith have Child Culture September 1; Horeturned from a ten days motor Los Angeles is the guest of her tel Bigelow.
